To establish my PANCE prep plan, I looked at my performance on the clinical PACKRAT, EOC, EOR examinations, and the breakdown of the content on the PANCE blueprint. My PANCE test is scheduled for January 30th, 2025 and I plan on beginning my review on December 9th, the Monday after our last EOR examination. My last rotation is emergency medicine, so even though I organized my review start date to after the EOR I will be studying high yield topics while studying for the EM EOR. I decided to organize my studying and allocate the time for each content category based on percentage noted on the content blueprint. I plan on using a mixture of Pance Prep Pearls, Rosh Review, Osmosis, and Uworld. The larger percentage categories I will allocate ~5 days of review (Cardio, Pulm, GI, MSK). The group of topics that are the next highest percentage on the blueprint I will allocate 2-3 days of review (Psych, reproductive, endocrine, Neuro). The rest of the groups of categories I plan on allocating ~1-2 days of review. I will also adjust this based on how well I scored in each category on the EOR’s, PACKRAT, and EOC exam. I also want build up my stamina for the examination and I plan on doing this by taking practice examinations with large quantities of questions the last couple of weeks before my test date approaches. I think it is also important to note that I should beR able to amend my plan as studying if I feel like I need to allocate more time to a certain topic vs another.
